The city a young nation dreamed up

A capital drawn from scratch

When India lost Lahore at Partition, Nehru wanted a new capital for Punjab that would be "unfettered by the traditions of the past" — a statement of a young country's confidence. He handed the job to a Swiss-French architect named Le Corbusier, and out of the flat farmland near the Shivaliks rose Chandigarh: a city planned like a human body, laid out in numbered sectors, greener and calmer than anywhere else in the north.

Getting there from Faridabad is refreshingly simple. Your cab reaches your gate, slips around Delhi on the KMP Expressway, and settles onto NH-44 — a wide, fast highway that rolls through Panipat, Karnal and Ambala with the famous Murthal dhabas making the perfect breakfast halt.

Chandigarh is the rare Indian city where you can breathe out. Wide roads, big trees, and a lake to sit beside.

What surprises first-timers is how much there is to simply enjoy — a garden built entirely from junk that became a wonder, Asia's largest rose garden, a lake full of migratory birds, and a UNESCO-listed complex of raw-concrete genius. A Faridabad to Chandigarh taxi hands you the easy half of the deal: doorstep pickup, a smooth drive, and a city that actually rewards slowing down.

Asia's largest rose garden — the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden — with thousands of varieties spread over 30 acres. Come in spring and the whole place is a riot of colour and scent; the annual Rose Festival is pure Chandigarh.

Capitol Complex

Le Corbusier's UNESCO World Heritage masterpiece — the Secretariat, the High Court, the Assembly and the giant Open Hand Monument. Concrete, light and bold geometry: this is the building that gave Chandigarh its soul.

Boating at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh — Faridabad to Chandigarh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

Boating at Sukhna Lake

A 3-km man-made lake at the foot of the Shivaliks, made for lazy pedal-boat afternoons, sunrise joggers and evening ice-cream. The promenade is the city's favourite place to simply slow down.

Winter birds at Sukhna

Come winter, Sukhna turns into a stopover for migratory birds — bar-headed geese and more, flying in from Central Asia. Grab a bench, a cup of chai and a pair of binoculars, and watch the sky arrive.

Why ride with us

Faridabad to Chandigarh, done the EZPZ way

The KMP Expressway is the quiet trick that makes starting from Faridabad better than starting from central Delhi — you glide onto NH-44 north without ever touching the capital's crush. We run this corridor daily and know its rhythm: the Murthal breakfast stop, the smooth Ambala stretch, the clean run into the sectors. And it begins at your gate — Sector 21, near NIT, out in Ballabgarh, a Greater Faridabad tower or by Neelam Chowk.

Real doorstep pickup

Anywhere across Faridabad & Ballabgarh — your gate, your hour, not a distant "meeting point".

Nothing hidden

One all-inclusive fare — toll and taxes already included. The number we quote is the number you pay.

Drivers who know the road

Verified, easy-going chauffeurs who run the KMP–NH-44 corridor and the tricity with ease.

The trip bends to you

Add Kasauli, Shimla, Mohali or Panchkula — it's your cab, your itinerary.

5:30 PM

A little insider timing

When to go — and what's on

February to March is Chandigarh at its prettiest — the Rose Garden is in full bloom and the Rose Festival takes over the city with flower shows and music. October to February is cool and lovely, and winter turns Sukhna into a birdwatcher's delight as migratory flocks fly in.

Summers (May–June) get warm, so plan gardens and the lake for mornings and evenings and let the AC handle the afternoons. The monsoon greens everything beautifully; just keep an umbrella handy for the odd downpour.

Small joys, big regrets if you skip them

Don't leave Chandigarh without…

…a slow evening on the Sukhna Lake promenade, ice-cream in hand and the Shivaliks in the distance. …a proper Punjabi meal — butter chicken, sarson-da-saag or a thali that defeats you happily. …a browse through Sector 17's plaza and, if you have time, Elante Mall for a rainy-day pit stop. And do give the Rock Garden a full unhurried hour — it's the sort of place you keep discovering as you walk. Your cab has the boot space for whatever you carry home.

Getting out of town, smoothly

The route: Faridabad → KMP → NH-44 → Chandigarh

From Faridabad the KMP (Kundli–Manesar–Palwal) Expressway loops you around Delhi and onto NH-44, the Grand Trunk Road — a smooth 4-to-6 lane run of about 270 km through Panipat, Karnal and Ambala, with Murthal's dhabas as the classic breakfast stop. It's one of the easiest long drives out of the NCR.

Want to keep going? Chandigarh is the gateway to the hills — Kasauli, Shimla and even Manali branch off from here, and Mohali and Panchkula are minutes away across the tricity. Tell the driver and the route flexes to your plan.

Before you book

Faridabad to Chandigarh — the questions people actually ask

How much does a Faridabad to Chandigarh taxi cost?
A Faridabad to Chandigarh one-way cab starts at about ₹4,250 for a sedan; SUVs and Innovas cost a little more. That's all-inclusive — toll, state tax, fuel and driver allowance are already included, with no extra charges.
How far is Chandigarh from Faridabad and how long does it take?
About 270 km, roughly 5–5.5 hours door to door. Starting in Faridabad you take the KMP Expressway around Delhi and pick up NH-44 north — a smooth, fast highway the whole way through Panipat, Karnal and Ambala.
Is one day enough for Chandigarh, or should we stay over?
A day covers the highlights — Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Sukhna Lake and the Capitol Complex. Stay a night and you can add Elante for shopping, a sunset at Sukhna, and an easy hop to Mohali or Panchkula.
Where in Faridabad will the cab pick us up?
Anywhere — Sector 21, NIT, Old Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Greater Faridabad or your society gate. Share the address at booking and the driver reaches your door at the hour you choose.
Can we combine Chandigarh with Shimla, Kasauli or the tricity?
Yes — Chandigarh is the perfect launchpad. Kasauli and Shimla are a short climb away, and Mohali and Panchkula are minutes across the city. Tell us at booking and the driver plans the loop.
Which car should we pick for the Chandigarh trip?
For two, a sedan is ideal. A family with bags rides easiest in an SUV or Innova Crysta, and a big group wants a Tempo Traveller. All AC, all with verified chauffeurs.
Do you drop at the Chandigarh (Mohali) airport too?
Yes — we run doorstep drops and pickups at Chandigarh International Airport with flight tracking, one-way or round trip.
Is a one-way Faridabad to Chandigarh cab available?
Yes — pay only for the distance you travel, no return-fare padding. Round trips keep the same car and driver and work out cheaper per km for a weekend.
What is the best time to visit Chandigarh?
It's pleasant most of the year, but spring (February–March) is special — the Rose Garden is in full bloom and the Rose Festival is on. Winters are cool and lovely at Sukhna; summers are warm, so plan mornings and evenings outdoors.
Do you provide corporate cabs to Chandigarh?
Yes — business travel to the IT parks and Mohali industry with GST invoicing, monthly billing and on-time doorstep pickup across Faridabad.
Are toll and taxes included in the fare?
Yes — the fare shown is all-inclusive: toll, state tax, fuel and driver allowance are already included. For overnight round trips a small driver night-allowance may apply, always shown upfront.
