Where seekers & rafters share a river

Yoga at dawn, rapids by noon

Rishikesh is two towns wearing one address. There's the ancient one — ashrams, sadhus, the smell of incense drifting off the ghats, a place people have come to for centuries to sit still and figure things out. And there's the young one — rafting rides, cliff jumps, café music and travellers from forty countries. Somehow the Ganga holds both, cold and green and utterly unbothered, rushing down from the hills the way it always has.

The drive up from Faridabad is easy and familiar. Your cab reaches your gate, takes the Delhi–Meerut Expressway out of the NCR, rolls through Roorkee and Haridwar, and follows the river the last stretch into town. Wind the window down near Rishikesh and you'll feel the temperature drop and the air go clean.

You can chant at a dawn aarti and shoot a Grade-III rapid by lunch. Only in Rishikesh.

Whether you're here for a yoga retreat, a rafting weekend, the Beatles Ashram murals, or simply to sit by the water and breathe, the town meets you where you are. A Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi smooths the only awkward part — the getting there — with doorstep pickup and a driver who knows exactly where to drop you for the ashrams, the ghats or the river.

The Rishikesh you're driving toward

Six sides of the Ganga town

Aartis and ashrams, murals and rapids — here's what to seek out once you cross the river.

Triveni Ghat Ganga Aarti, Rishikesh — Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

Triveni Ghat Ganga Aarti

Every evening the ghat fills, the lamps are lit, and the Ganga Aarti sends flames and song out over the water. Less crowded than Haridwar's, more intimate — sit on the steps, let the current carry the diyas, and just be there.

Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh — Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

Triveni Ghat

Where three sacred rivers are said to meet, this wide riverfront is the beating heart of Rishikesh — morning bathers, evening prayers, and that famous cool, jade-green Ganga rushing past all day long.

The Krishna–Arjun Chariot, Rishikesh — Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

The Krishna–Arjun Chariot

The striking Geeta-themed sculpture at Triveni Ghat — Krishna counselling Arjun on the battlefield, cast in stone. A favourite photo and a quiet reminder of the wisdom this town has drawn seekers with for centuries.

The Beatles Ashram, Rishikesh — Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

The Beatles Ashram

In 1968 the Beatles came here to meditate and ended up writing much of the White Album. The abandoned Maharishi ashram, now covered in dreamy murals and graffiti, is Rishikesh's most atmospheric wander.

Ashram murals & art, Rishikesh — Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

Ashram murals & art

Inside the old meditation domes, artists from around the world have layered colour, lyrics and portraits onto the crumbling concrete. Part street-art gallery, part time capsule — bring your camera and an hour to spare.

The Ganga itself, Rishikesh — Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi | EZPZ Taxi

The Ganga itself

Beyond temples and yoga, the river is the whole point — cold, clear and alive. Walk the banks, sit on a boulder at dusk, or, if you're game, ride its white-water rapids. Rishikesh runs on Ganga energy.

Why ride with us

Faridabad to Rishikesh, done the EZPZ way

Rishikesh trips have a rhythm of their own — an early rafting slot, an ashram check-in, an aarti to make — and a good driver quietly makes them all line up. Ours know where vehicles can and can't go near Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, where the rafting pickups are, and how to time the run so you arrive calm. And it starts at your gate — Sector 21, near NIT, out in Ballabgarh, a Greater Faridabad tower or by Neelam Chowk.

10:30 AM
Break near Roorkee. Chai and a stretch, then along past Haridwar to the river.
1:00 PM
Reach Rishikesh, settle in. Lunch at a café over the Ganga, then a walk to Laxman Jhula.

Rafting or the Beatles Ashram. Shoot the rapids, or wander the mural-covered domes — your call.
6:00 PM
Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Lamps on the water, bells in the air, the day\'s perfect full stop.

A little insider timing

When to go — and what's on the river

September to November and February to May are the sweet spots — pleasant weather, clear skies and the Ganga at its most inviting. Rafting season runs roughly September to June and pauses during the monsoon\'s high, fast flow. Early March brings the International Yoga Festival, when the whole town hums with classes and music.

The monsoon (July–August) turns the hills a brilliant green and thins the crowds, but the river runs powerful and some activities pause, so keep plans flexible. Whatever the season, pack a light layer for cool riverside evenings.

Small joys, big regrets if you skip them

Don't leave Rishikesh without…

…sitting through a full Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat or Parmarth Niketan, and floating a diya downstream. …a walk across a swaying Laxman Jhula or Ram Jhula footbridge, monkeys and motorbikes and all. …a café afternoon over the river with a German-bakery cake and a pot of masala chai. And if you\'re even a little game, a rafting run down the Ganga — cold, loud and unforgettable. Your cab is waiting dry at the other end for whatever you carry back.

Getting out of town, smoothly

The route: Faridabad → Meerut → Haridwar → Rishikesh

From Faridabad the cab takes the Delhi–Meerut Expressway out of the NCR, then NH-334 through Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee to Haridwar, and follows the Ganga the final 25 km into Rishikesh — about 250 km in all, mostly smooth highway with easy dhaba breaks.

Because Haridwar sits right on the way, the two towns pair perfectly, and Rishikesh is the classic launch point for the Char Dham Yatra into the high Himalaya. Tell the driver your plan and the route stretches to match.

Before you book

Faridabad to Rishikesh — the questions people actually ask

How much does a Faridabad to Rishikesh taxi cost?
A Faridabad to Rishikesh one-way cab starts at about ₹3,950 for a sedan; SUVs and Innovas cost a little more. That's all-inclusive — toll, state tax, fuel and driver allowance are already included, with no extra charges.
How far is Rishikesh from Faridabad and how long does it take?
About 250 km, roughly 5.5–6 hours door to door via the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, Roorkee and Haridwar. Rishikesh sits just 25 km beyond Haridwar, so many travellers do the two together.
Can we do rafting on a Faridabad to Rishikesh trip?
Yes — Rishikesh is India's white-water capital. The driver can drop you at the rafting start point (often upstream at Shivpuri or Marine Drive) and pick you up downstream. Tell us at booking and we'll plan the timing around your slot.
Where in Faridabad will the cab pick us up?
Anywhere — Sector 21, NIT, Old Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Greater Faridabad or your society gate. Share the address at booking and the driver reaches your door at the hour you choose.
Can we combine Rishikesh with Haridwar and the temples?
Absolutely — Haridwar is just 25 km back, and both towns share the Ganga-aarti magic. A one- or two-night trip covering Rishikesh, Haridwar and the ropeway temples is our most popular plan. Tell us and the driver maps it.
Which car should we choose for the trip?
For a couple or backpackers, a hatchback or sedan is ideal. Families with luggage ride easiest in an SUV or Innova Crysta, and yoga or adventure groups suit a Tempo Traveller. All AC, all with verified chauffeurs.
Will the cab reach the ashrams and Laxman Jhula area?
Yes — the driver drops you as close as vehicles are allowed near Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula and the ashram belt, and the last short stretch to the footbridges is a pleasant walk. Just share your ashram or hotel name.
Is a one-way Faridabad to Rishikesh cab available?
Yes — pay only for the distance you travel, no return-fare padding. Round trips keep the same car and driver, handy if you're also doing Haridwar or heading on to the char dham.
What is the best time to visit Rishikesh?
September to November and February to May are ideal — pleasant weather, and the Ganga at its clear best. Rafting season runs roughly September to June (paused during the monsoon high flow). The International Yoga Festival lights up early March.
Is Rishikesh good for a yoga or wellness retreat trip?
Very — it's the yoga capital of the world, full of ashrams and retreats. We do doorstep pickup and comfortable long-stay drops, and can plan a quiet arrival timed away from the evening crowds. Tell us your ashram and we'll get you there calmly.
Are toll and taxes included in the fare?
Yes — the fare shown is all-inclusive: toll, state tax, fuel and driver allowance are already included. For overnight round trips a small driver night-allowance may apply, always shown upfront.
